There comes a point in every creative business when the identity you started with no longer quite reflects where the work has taken you.

After years of designing homes and selected commercial and hospitality spaces under Style So Simple, I’m incredibly proud to share that our interior design studio has officially become Aoife Maria Interiors.

Aoife Maria Interiors is an award-winning interior architecture and design studio based in Ireland, working across Ireland, the UK and internationally.

The name is new, but the thinking behind the studio is not.

As Founder and Creative Director, my approach has always been to start with the space itself, looking at its architecture, natural light, proportions, flow and setting, and then understanding how the people living there want their home to work and feel.

Why did the studio become Aoife Maria Interiors?

Style So Simple was always an interior design practice first, led by me personally and working directly with clients on their homes. Over time, I was lucky enough to gain recognition through television, magazines and, of course, social media.

As that audience grew, Style So Simple became almost like the interiors conversation that escaped the group chat and found its way onto Instagram. There was less focus on showing every project and more on sharing advice, ideas and the occasional strongly held opinion with the lovely community that had grown around it.

Behind the scenes, the business was evolving too.

Style So Simple had always been something very personal to me, but as the team grew and the studio developed a more defined body of work across new builds, renovations and restorations, it became clear that the business had evolved beyond the identity it started with.

At the same time, we became much clearer about what sits at the heart of our work.

For us, good interior design starts long before we get to layer in beautiful finishes and furnishings. It starts with getting the bones of the space right, from the layout and natural light to the proportions and flow, and understanding what works best for the interior architecture and, above all, the people living in it.

Aoife Maria Interiors felt like the natural next step. A name that better represents the studio, the team behind it, our approach to design and the work we are creating today.

Introducing Aoife Maria Interiors

Aoife Maria Interiors specialises in interior architecture and design for private residential projects and selected commercial and hospitality spaces.

The new identity for Aoife Maria Interiors.

Our work can include:

  • Space planning and early plan reviews

  • Interior architecture and design

  • Kitchens and bathrooms

  • Bespoke joinery

  • Lighting and electrical planning

  • Materials, finishes and colour

  • Furniture, artwork and sourcing

  • Procurement, installation and final styling

Because every client comes to us with a different idea of how they want their home to look and feel, the aesthetic is always evolving. Our role is to take those ideas, draw out what really matters, and turn them into an interior that feels beautiful, cohesive and right for the home, while always working with the interior architecture and considering how our clients want to live and feel within it.

What happens to Style So Simple?

Style So Simple is not disappearing. Obviously. It is where all of this started, a huge part of our story and something that will always be very personal to me. It will continue as the place where I share design advice, ideas, discoveries and the occasional strongly held opinion, while Aoife Maria Interiors is the home of the studio and our client work. This is where we share our client projects, services and the work of the practice.

Based in Ireland, working internationally

Aoife Maria Interiors is based in Ireland and works with clients throughout Ireland, the UK and internationally.

For projects further afield, we can work alongside locally appointed architects, contractors and specialist suppliers while keeping the overall design cohesive from start to finish.

Wherever the property is located, our approach remains the same: understanding the place, how our clients want to live and feel within it, and creating an interior with its own identity.

Looking ahead

More than anything, I feel incredibly grateful and excited for what comes next.

To have grown the studio to this point, to work alongside such a talented team and, most importantly, to have clients who trust us with something as personal and important as their home is something I never take for granted.

Thank you to every client who has trusted us with their home, every person we have collaborated with and everyone who has supported Style So Simple over the years.

We are incredibly proud of what it helped us build and very excited about where Aoife Maria Interiors goes next.

If you are planning a new build, renovation or interior design project in Ireland, the UK or internationally, we would be happy to hear from you.

From Aoife Maria
